  1. My server does not allow me to run FFmpeg. Can I still use videOlive?

    Yes! Even though videOlive comes with a powerful interface for video encoding through FFmpeg, it also has an alternative method for encoding on servers without FFmpeg support. To learn more about it, read here.

  2. I'm having trouble with setting up videOlive on my server, can you help?

    We'd be happy to. Contact our technical support team, and someone will get back to you within a very short time.

  3. Can I customize the default skins or make my own?

    Absolutely! If you only need to change colors around, you can simply edit the colors CSS file and/or the images, it couldn't be any easier! Otherwise, if you are looking for greater flexibility, all the template files can be edited by through simple (X)HTML, no special programming knowledge required.

  4. Is the source code available?

    All code for the database interactions, page controls and skins is fully accessible, allowing you to make any custom modifications or plugins. The core system and its libraries are encoded and precompiled however.

  5. Can I change the domain registered with my videOlive license?

    Yes you can. When you install videOlive for the first time, your license will be paired with the domain where you are installing it on. But at any time, and for any reason, you can request an domain name update for your license if you need to change domains.

  6. Does videOlive support <some feature>?

    videOlive has most of the common functionality found in other similar systems. However, this is an evolving application and one that was recently released. Our development team is eager to implement many new features and will be releasing regular updates. As a customer of videOlive, you will be entitled to free upgrades during the span of your support package.
